Perrier-Jouet, the most expensive champagne in the world, is made from grapes from the vineyards of Des Blancs, and if the grapes of the year are not of good quality, the production of the wine will be postponed to the next year. In 1811, cork maker Pierre-Nicolas-Marie Perrier married Adèle Jouet, and together they founded the Perrier-Jouët Champagne House in Epernay, creating an elegant and prestigious Champagne brand. In 1902, Emile Gallé, a master glassmaker of the Art Nouveau period who graduated from the "Ecole de Nancy" school of art, painted four large bottles of Crystal Champagne for Perrier-Jouët, carved with white anemones and golden rose vines.

In 1969, after more than half a century of research, Perrier-Jouët finally perfectly replicated the masterpiece of Emile Gallé on the bottle, and the elegant and exceptional "Belle Epoque" vintage was immediately recognized around the world, marking a decisive turning point in the history of the Perrier-Jouët Champagne House and the beginning of a legend.

One of the most notable is the Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Champagne 1996. It is the result of six historic vineyards owned by the Perrier-Jouët Champagne House, containing 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir, known as the "Flower of Champagne".

The unique vintage makes the champagne particularly rich and soft, with the initial fruity aromas gradually transforming into seductive sweetness, rich and elegant.
