Zhejiang Gongshang University, located in Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang Province, was formerly known as Hangzhou Secondary Business School, which was founded in 1911. In 1980, Hangzhou Business School was established with the approval of the State Council, and in 2004, it was renamed Zhejiang Gongshang University with the approval of the Ministry of Education. For more than 100 years, the school has been adhering to the tradition of running a business school, especially since 1998, when it was changed from a college directly under the Ministry of Commerce to "jointly built by the central and local governments, with local management as the mainstay", the school has adhered to the road of running a school with special characteristics, focusing on economics and management, and coordinating the development of multiple disciplines such as law and engineering, and continuously improving the level of running a school.
