Huayan International Music Co., Ltd., one of the top ten record companies, a listed company, a large-scale local record service provider in Taiwan, and a leader in Asia's new generation of record companies, has many powerful idol artists, and enjoys the reputation of "Tiantuan Palace".
Founded in early 2000, HIM International Music Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "HIM International"), a rising star in Taiwan's record industry, is one of Taiwan's largest local record companies, and is the leader of the new generation of record companies in Asia, enjoying the reputation of "Tiantuan Palace". Its artists include S.H.E, Power Train, Lin Youjia, Chen Kuangyi, Xin, Ni Andong, Popu Lady, Zhou Hui, Yang Yongcong, F.I.R and many other powerful idol artists.
Company development
Huayan Records is not a general generation. In fact, the predecessor of Huayan was the famous Shanghua Records. As a well-qualified local record company in Taiwan, Shanghua was once the main force of Taiwan's mainstream traditional love songs and film and television songs, from veteran singers Li Yijun and Gao Shengmei to the mid-90s "Two Kings and Two Queens" Qi Qin, Xiong Tianping, Xu Meijing, Xu Ruyun, Shanghua is a classic model of the Chinese music scene.
With the merger of Shanghua by Universal Records, Shanghua's internal members started to set up Huayan Records. Since there is no branch in the mainland, it has found EMI EMI Records (now reorganized as Gold Gale) in the mainland to cooperate, and the singer's album production and copyright belong to Huayan, but the mainland album release and corporate publicity are handed over to the mainland EMI, so Huayan's singers also belong to the mainland EMI. The introduction of albums from Taiwan and Hong Kong to the mainland relies on a mainland company, Busheng Dafeng Music.
In 1999, Shanghua Records owner Lu Yanqing sold Shanghua Records to PolyGram Records and established a new company, Grand Music International Inc.
In October 2001, Cosmos International Music changed its name to "Huayan International Music Co., Ltd." The records of Huayan International Music's artists in Chinese mainland are distributed by Gold Medal Gale Agency.
On October 26, 2012, Huayan International Music was listed on the Taiwan OTC Exchange at NT$60 per share, with the stock code 8446, making it the first company in Taiwan's emerging cabinet cultural and creative industry.
