Universal International Holdings Limited (HKEX: 1046) was established in 1986 and initially established subsidiaries Universal Laser Video Limited, Universal Video Distribution Limited and Universal Entertainment Limited to produce video tapes and DVDs. Subsequently, Universal Film Investment Limited was formed.

Huanyu Entertainment has long been a leader in the Hong Kong film industry, and its investment in the production of "Shaolin Football" became the highest-grossing Chinese-language film in Hong Kong at that time. Later, he successively produced many excellent movies such as "Mong Kok Dark Night", "The True Colors of Men", "Fengyun", "City Alert", "Three Forks", "C Detective" and so on. In recent years, he has been involved in the mainland TV circle, creating high-quality dramas such as "Wing Chun", "The True Colors of Men" and "The General of Women", which are deeply loved by the audience.　Later, in the mid-90s, he began to dabble in film production and established Century Studio Limited to produce films such as "Woo Goo Goo New Year's Wealth", "Half Drunk World" and "Embrace Every Moment of Fireworks". Zongheng Production Co., Ltd., Digital Programme Production Co., Ltd., and Universal Image International were established to purchase old Hong Kong-made films for the distribution of video discs.

Founded by Mr. Lin Xiaoming and Ms. Zhao Xueying, the Group was listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 20 July 1999.

Over the past 20 years, Universal International Holdings Limited has been committed to building its own brand culture, oriented to the Hong Kong and global markets, and constantly meeting the diversified development needs of Hong Kong's entertainment industry.
