Founded in 1992, Pacific Cinema is affiliated to Sichuan Film Company and currently has 5 branches in Xi'an. Opened in 2009, the Qujiang store is located near the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Tang Paradise, a famous scenic spot in the city, and occupies a single antique building. The exterior blends in with the surrounding ancient scenery and is very distinctive. It is a pity that the theater has been standing still in the audio and video sector, and has not yet introduced cutting-edge projection technologies and systems such as IMax, RealD, Dolby Atmos, etc., and its strength has gradually been left behind by other theaters.
The cinema has a total of 11 auditoriums with approximately 1,350 seats. Among them, the 4D hall is one of the characteristic theaters of the theater, which uses a series of seating devices to simulate movie scenes. When watching the movie, the seats will rise and fall, tilt back and forth and vibrate according to the plot, and produce special effects such as water mist, smell, and flash to restore rain, snow, lightning and other effects, basically showing science fiction and war movies. The VIP is a mini hall that can accommodate 32 people, providing snacks and drink services.
The theater hall is small, with an average capacity of about 120 people per room, and the maintenance of seats, handrails and other facilities is basically in place, and the viewing experience is acceptable. The ticket hall is concave shaped, the pattern is wide, the middle is the ticketing, consultation center, the left side layout has a large number of claw machines, massage chairs and other entertainment equipment, and several snacks, drink shops provide services, supporting facilities are relatively complete. The ticket price of 4D hall is roughly 35-40 yuan, VIP hall is about 50 yuan, and ordinary theater hall is 25-38 yuan. 3D glasses are available for purchase on-site and are not provided free of charge. Tickets can be refunded or changed 1 hour before the opening time.
Affected by the construction of the Six Modernizations Project in Qujiang District 6, the main entrance of the theater was closed in June 2018, and customers need to detour to the back door of the theater to enter, and the unsealing time has not yet been determined.
