The history of Wei Fuxing, which is under the banner of "century-old shop", can indeed be traced back to the end of the Qing Dynasty, but it has been interrupted for decades and belongs to the new opening of old shops.  

Like many local noodle restaurants in Suzhou, Wei Fuxing also serves several toppings, such as stewed pork, fried eel, gluten, and more. However, its sudden popularity relied on a bowl of glossy noodles. In Suzhou, Glossy Noodles also has a more poetic name "Yangchun Noodles". Wei Fuxing's bowl of Yangchun noodles costs only three yuan, and it is cheap while maintaining a good taste, so this bowl of noodles has also appeared in the local newspaper "Gusu Evening News" in Suzhou. Its soup is not clear, slightly orange and yellow, but it tastes very delicious, and the sense of monosodium glutamate is not strong. The scattered green onions are not evenly scattered, gathered together, and the noodles are not as properly arranged as the big noodle restaurants, which is a little messy, which shows that the noodle chef's technique is average and not very skilled. The noodles are chewy and tough. Overall, this is a bowl of noodles that does not look good, but the taste is acceptable. Perhaps because the profit of Yangchun noodles for three yuan is too low, and the store also sells fast food box lunches and wonton buns, but the quality of their products is mediocre.

Wei Fuxing's dining environment has no bright spots, and discerning diners are cautious about it. The blue plastic chairs and slightly greasy countertops make it look like a campus cafeteria. The price list behind the cash register has been altered several times, and the torn old-fashioned receipts give a sense of history. Fortunately, the waiter has a warm attitude, and the dishes and chopsticks are also very slippery. However, only cash is accepted in the store, and diners who wish to go there should also have change on hand.
