The name of No.101 Middle School is quite meaningful, meaning "a hundred feet ahead, go further", and it is one of the well-known middle schools in China. In 2012, No.101 Middle School cooperated with Norfolk School in the United States to hold the Sino-American High School International Class, which has established a good reputation in the international parent circle in Beijing.
The school is located in the former site of the Old Summer Palace, adjacent to Tsinghua University in the east and Peking University in the south, with a classical atmosphere and pleasing to the eye, not only full of lotus flowers, but also a traditional corridor with twists and turns, and has the praise of "the most beautiful middle school in China", becoming the terminal station of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Torch Relay.
In 2018, it plans to recruit 60 junior high school graduates, with a tuition fee of 90,000 yuan/year. In 2017, the cut-off score for the international class of No. 101 Middle School was 551 points, and in 2016, it was 555 points. It can be said that in the Beijing Public International Department, the status of No. 101 Middle School is between the first echelon and the second echelon.
