Guangzhou Bayi Experimental School has a deep history, which was founded in Harbin in May 1948 by Lin Yueqin, the wife of Marshal Luo Ronghuan, and was formerly known as the Nangang Cadre School of the Northeast Democratic Alliance Army. In 2003, Bayi merged with Gonghe Road Primary School, with a campus area of more than 17,000 square meters, and is currently divided into two campuses, Dalu and Gonghe Road, with the junior high school located in the South Campus. In terms of geographical location, it is adjacent to the Guangzhou Military Region Headquarters and the Political Department, with a good surrounding environment, green trees on the campus, and spacious and bright teaching buildings. Every year in junior high school enrollment, "Bayi" first considers its primary school students, accounting for about 70% of the enrollment. Among them, the students in the "August 1st" key class are mainly from the primary school students of the school who gave up the first batch of computer allocation opportunities and chose to go straight to school, the first batch of computer students from other schools, and the transfer students who came in by examination. In recent years, the "Bayi" primary school will also hold a direct entrance examination before graduation to select students from key junior high school classes. There are generally 3 key classes in each grade.
The school spirit of "August 1st" is excellent and the teachers have a strong sense of responsibility, but some parents said that the school's high school entrance examination review progress is too slow, and the third year of junior high school generally enters the general review stage of the high school entrance examination in mid to late March, and often only mathematics can enter the second round of review. Even if you enter the third year of junior high school, the amount of homework for students is not large, and you can complete it at school. The teacher's progress in class is not fast, and the students' basic knowledge is relatively solid, but the third year of junior high school students usually can't leave school until 6 o'clock.
