As a leading brand of salon fragrances, Ludan has been able to break away from the army of various perfumes thanks to its unconventional and unmistakable founder, Mr. Serge Lutens, who is known as the "living master", who has taken the lead in pioneering the cosmetics department for Dior, setting a precedent for luxury cosmetics lines. In the 80s, Serge Lutens became Shiseido's Director of Publicity, where he won two International Advertising Golden Lions and a Medal of Excellence in Arts and Culture from the French Ministry of Culture. To commemorate Serge Lutens' contribution to the Group, in 2000 Shiseido supported him in the creation of the eponymous perfume brand.

In fact, Serge Lutens began to create olfactory creations long before the brand was founded.
