Due to the high latitude, the hairy crabs in the Yellow River estuary eat less in winter, and the overall individual is small, which naturally has no advantage compared with the Yangtze River hairy crabs above. The Liaohe Panjin hairy crab in the north is smaller, and grows up in the rice field, so it has a strong earthy smell, which is difficult for people who are used to eating the Yangtze River hairy crab. In contrast, the Yellow River estuary hairy crab farmed in ponds can be used as a compromise for northern consumers, replacing the Yangtze River hairy crab, which has to cross half of China to reach the table.

In general, due to the slow start, the breeding experience of Dongying City is slightly insufficient, the design area of the pond is smaller than that of the Yangtze River pond, and the water quality index is greatly affected by the weather, which is easy to cause hairy crab diseases, and the breeding mode still needs to be improved. The industrial structure of Dongying City is heavy on industry, and the aquaculture conditions are slightly inferior. In the process of brand building, the Yellow River estuary hairy crabs gradually lost their price advantage, and Hengsheng's 4 pairs of gift boxes ranged from 498 to 3998 yuan, which was no different from the Yangtze River hairy crabs. However, in the great wave of crab withdrawal in the south, the Yellow River Estuary can still dominate the northern market with stable production and local advantages.
