The 100-year-old chestnut orchard made a fortune by planting organic feed, and after completing the cooperation with the surrounding farmers, it was put into breeding Beijing oil chicken, and now it has developed into the largest ecological free-range breeding base of Beijing oil chicken in Asia. The products are sold to Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong, but in addition to the usual sales areas, the brand recognition and promotion of Centennial Liyuan are far less than that of Deqingyuan and Zhengda, which are also Beijing brands.
 
In June 2018, the 100-year-old Liyuan chai egg was found to be using a banned drug. However, the official publicly apologized and said that it had stopped cooperating with the farm and recalled all the eggs for the use of drugs by the cooperative farm. After returning to the market, its sales were not affected. Unlike many domestic brands that will introduce imported chicken breeds, the laying hens used in the century-old Liyuan are the brand's own North China Chai Chicken and Beijing Oil Chicken.
 
In comparison, the price of eggs in a century-old chestnut orchard is not cheap. However, it is sold on major mainstream e-commerce platforms, which is easier to buy than Huaxi, but the brand's quality control is sometimes good and bad, and there will be bad eggs that are not fresh, or broken eggs due to packaging, transportation and other reasons.
 
The weight and yolk ratio of oil eggs in Centennial Chestnut Garden, as well as the lecithin content, are better than those of chai eggs of the same brand, and the price is nearly twice that of chai eggs. The egg yolk has a firm taste, but the aroma is not as pure as Huaxi. The price of 30 pieces is 90 yuan. There are also oily chicken baby eggs in the same style, which are nearly 10 grams lighter than conventional oily eggs, about 35 grams, and the price of 20 pieces is 60 yuan.
