Glenlivet, also known as Glenlivet, has competed with Glenfiddich for the title of the world's best-selling single malt whisky for many years, selling more than one million cases of whisky each year. In the history of Scotch whisky, Glenlivet was the first distillery in the country to receive a legal distillery license. Interestingly, in those days, due to the popularity of Glenlivet's whisky, other distilleries also marked their whisky with Glenlivet, and later added "The" to the name to protect rights and avoid confusion.
Founders Reserve is a whisky from the Glenlivet Taste collection, created in 2014 by Alan Winchester, Glenlivet's Master Distiller. Blending old oak barrel ageing with new barrel ageing, this whisky achieves the supple fruitiness that founder George Smith originally envisioned and has become one of the best-selling Scotch whiskies of the past few years. This whisky has no vintage certificate, it is a standard entry-level whisky, and the price of Tmall flagship store is 200 yuan.
In the Heritage series, Glenlivet offers a wide range of whiskies including 12-year-old, 15-year-old, 18-year-old, 21-year-old and 25-year-old, and two types of whisky are available in domestic flagship stores: 12-year-old and 15-year-old. Glenlivet 12 Year Old, one of the most famous single malt whiskies, strikes a balance between fruity and floral aromas, with a strong hazelnut aroma, a soft and light body, a more homogeneous layer, and very easy to drink. This Glenlivet is priced at a low price for 12 years, and the flagship store asks for 282 yuan.
Excellence 12, the flagship store calls it 12-year mellow, which is also a single malt whisky aged for 12 years, and the price of 12-year mellow is 384 yuan, which is 100 yuan higher than the ordinary version of 12 years, this is because the original whiskey aged in sherry barrels is added to the 12-year liquor, compared with the ordinary version of 12 years, the smell of 12-year mellow is more sweet, the taste of the entrance is obvious, the flavor of candied fruit is obvious, and the level is also relatively simple. In general, the characteristics of this 12-year-old mellow sherry barrel are not obvious, but the price is a lot more expensive, and the advantages are not outstanding compared with the ordinary version of 12 years.
Nàdurra, which means "nature" in Gaelic language, is a small-batch collection made by Glenlivet using traditional techniques from the 19th century. The Nadora sold in China is the First Fill selection. The whisky is aged in American white oak casks that have never been used to mature Scotch whisky, which gives the whisky a creamy vanilla flavor. Unlike most modern whiskies, this whisky is unfiltered, cask-strong, undiluted, and therefore very rich in texture and alcohol content varies from batch to batch.
