In general, the characteristics of this 12-year-old mellow sherry barrel are not obvious, but the price is a lot more expensive, and the advantages are not outstanding compared with the ordinary version of 12 years.
 
Nàdurra, which means "nature" in Gaelic language, is a small-batch collection made by Glenlivet using traditional techniques from the 19th century. The Nadora sold in China is the First Fill selection. The whisky is aged in American white oak casks that have never been used to mature Scotch whisky, which gives the whisky a creamy vanilla flavor. Unlike most modern whiskies, this whisky is unfiltered, cask-strong, undiluted, and therefore very rich in texture and alcohol content varies from batch to batch.
