It was the first rum manufacturer in the Dominican Republic to be certified kosher and won the Gold Medal at the 2012 International Rum Conference. In 2012, the Chicago Institute of Food & Beverage received a score of 97 and was hailed as the best rum of the year. Blended from the Barceló Royal Estate, this wine is aged for 30 years and is limited to 16,000 bottles per year worldwide. It is darker, amber, and has a bronze or even red hue. The nose is richly layered: with notes of nuts, toffee and baking spices, followed by preserved fruit notes such as crème brûlée and apple, and a spicy tobacco, mineral and cigar finish. The wine is dry, rich, not too sweet, does not need to be blended, and is suitable for direct drinking, making it a very elegant wine. The price of this wine is the highest among Barcelo rums, at about 560 yuan, and the price of other wines is between 160 and 240 yuan.
