Founded in 2014, Globber has only been in the market for a short time, but it has been appreciated by many consumers for its research on specialized technologies and high requirements for safety. Its products have been shortlisted in the list of children's scooters recommended by Myproscooter and other media. In 2016, Globber's 5-in-1 scooter won the Scooter Design Award at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. In 2017, Globber Primo ranked first with a perfect score of 5 stars in the Hong Kong Consumer Council's Children's Scooter Safety Test.
Similar to other manufacturers, Globber's three-wheeled toddler scooters use a center of gravity steering design, which allows the child to control the wheels by changing the center of gravity. The advantage of this is that the steering is smoother and avoids over-the-top cornering and accidents. On top of this, Globber has also added a steering lock design. For younger children who are new to scooters, parents can lock the direction of the wheels, and the scooter will only travel in a straight line, which is more secure. In addition to this, Globber also launched the first foldable three-wheeled scooter on the market. It can be said that in the field of toddler scooters, Globber is the most capable brand to compete with Micro.
Globber has named its 5-in-1 scooter the Evo series. Similar to Micro's Mini2Go, the Evo series boasts three riding modes that can be converted by removing and installing the saddle. The glide or push mode is suitable for young children aged 15-36 months, and the unique zigzag front tube and saddle seat make it more comfortable and safe for your child's ride. In push mode, the steering lever is controlled by the parent, which is more convenient than the Mini2Go to control the direction. For children aged 3-14 years old, it can be switched to scooter mode, and with the steering lock design introduced earlier, children can easily get started. Due to the large number of functions and accessories, the Evo is priced at 1100 yuan, which is the most expensive product of Globber.
If the child is only interested in scooter mode, the Primo and Elite series are recommended. As a smaller model, the Primo has an adjustable height of about 67-78cm and a maximum weight of 50kg, which is enough for children aged 2-6 years. The materials and design of the Elite are not much different from those of the Primo, but they only have 4 height positions, handlebars up to 82 cm high, and more spacious pedals. In the Elite series, the parameters of the 449 and 442 are exactly the same, but the price is 200 yuan higher than the latter, which is mainly reflected in its front warning lights and foldable design. Since few parents allow their children to ride scooters in the dark, so-called warning lights may only have a decorative meaning. The fold-out design also increases the portability of the scooter, which is suitable for families who often take their children to activities far away from home.
Compared to three-wheeled scooters, Globber's two-wheeled products don't perform very well. The Flow 125's streamlined design and color scheme are indeed eye-catching, but the configuration of injection molded composite panels and aluminum risers is not as good as that of the lower-priced Razor A2/A3, and the cost performance is not enough. The latest One NL series, which focuses on urban commuting, is intended to benchmark the RazorA5/A6 and DecathlonTown series, but its biggest flaw is that the handbrake is only linked to the rear wheels, which has a certain chance of locking. Even though the series features Globber's patented folding design, which is quite portable, it is still not the best choice for teenagers and office workers to get around the city.
