Jiangnan Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd. is a military shipbuilding enterprise with the longest history in China under China State Shipbuilding Industry Corporation. On June 3, 2008, on the occasion of the 143rd anniversary of the construction of Jiangnan Shipyard, it was officially announced that Jiangnan Shipbuilding had successfully completed the relocation task and officially settled in CSSC Jiangnan Changxing Shipbuilding Base. CSSC Jiangnan Changxing Shipbuilding Base is located in Changxing Island, at the mouth of the Yangtze River, covering an area of about 5.8 million square meters, with a shoreline length of about 3,800 meters, the main construction content includes four large docks, 17 outfitting docks, and the planning program is an annual shipbuilding capacity of 4.5 million tons for civil ships, which is currently the largest modern shipbuilding base in China, with the most advanced facilities and the most extensive production varieties.
