CSIC has a large shipbuilding and repair base in China, and has concentrated the main force of China's ship research and design, with 12 academicians, more than 40,000 scientific research and design personnel, 7 national R&D centers, 9 national key laboratories, 12 national enterprise technology centers, and more than 150 large-scale laboratories, with strong independent innovation and product development capabilities, with an annual shipbuilding capacity of 15 million tons, and can design, build and dock various oil tankers in accordance with the specifications of world-renowned classification societies and various international conventions.
