Introducing the Shelby brand

Shelbylogo

Silbe Supercar Company, founded in the United States in 1999, is a representative of high-end supercars, Ultimate Aero, which has broken the Guinness Book of Records for its extreme speed, focusing on authentic American-style sports cars, and entered the Chinese market in 2011

Shelby is the Chinese translation of Shelby Supercars (also known as SSC), followed by Supercars, indicating that the company was founded to create only high-end supercar series. The company was founded in 1999 by American car enthusiast Jerod Shelby, and like other famous sports car brands, the company name also uses the name of the founder. It is a very young but very high starting supercar company, based in Washington.

Founder Shelby also grew up in Washington, D.C., and has been passionate about racing culture all his life, always dreaming of starting his own sports car company. Now, he has made it. Just like Pagani, Shelby has been aiming for today's fastest sports cars from the very first product from the company's founding.

SSC has created the Ultimate Aero since 2007, which claims to be able to challenge the Bugatti Veyron, and indeed its top speed has also broken the Guinness record, but the shape that looks like a Lamborghini ghost has not left a deep impression on people, at least in the eyes of many fans, it is just a speed follower, but it has no pedigree of its own, and the styling is also imitating the Italian supercar.

But now, SSC has developed the latest Tuatara supercar, both in terms of styling and performance Silbe's second logo, which is refreshing to use at the same time as the first. The unusually sci-fi look finally got rid of the "Italian style" of the copycat and turned to the authentic American style.

Former Ferrari and Saab designers designed the new Tuatara supercar, which will be powered by a twin-turbocharged 7.0-litre V8 engine with a maximum power output of 1,350 hp, mated to a seven-speed manual or automatic manual transmission, with rear-wheel drive. It is reported that this powertrain will allow the Tuatara to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 443 km/h. This will make the Tuatara the fastest production car in the world, overtaking the Bugatti Viair Super Sport.
In China

In 2011, SSC opened the only SSC agency in Asia, Shanghai, China, and since then, SSC has entered the Chinese market.

On August 7, 2011, SSC, an American supercar manufacturer, brought the brand's new generation of supercar Tuatara to Shanghai Hang Lung Plaza for a three-day exhibition and announced the brand's official entry into the Chinese market.

The model is now available for pre-order, and the company will customize and build the new car according to the needs of car owners, and it is expected to be ready for delivery as early as 2013.

SSC's first-generation supercar, the Ultimate Aero, had an impressive track record. With a maximum power output of 1,183 hp, it won the Guinness Book of World Records title of "Fastest Production Car" in September 2007 with a speed of 257 mph (414 km/h). Designed by renowned Italian supercar designer Jason Castriota, the all-new Tutara supercar is powered by a 7.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine with a maximum power output of 1,350 hp developed by SSC, and power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a seven-speed SMG transmission or a seven-speed manual H-shift transmission.

It is reported that this powertrain will enable Tutara to accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.78 seconds and reach a top speed of 275 mph (about 443 kilometers per hour). With a further comprehensive improvement in design and performance, the Tutara will surely make SSC once again the fastest production car in the Guinness Book of World.
