In 1994, Aston Martin became a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company. In 2007, Ford sold Aston Martin for $925 million to a joint venture between Kuwait's Adeem Investment of Kuwait, Investment Dar and British businessman John Sinders. On February 17, 2016, Aston Martin and LeEco signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a joint venture for electric vehicles.
