Introduction to the TISSOT brand

TISSOT logo

Swiss Swatch Group, Tissot, founded in Switzerland in 1853, is an immortal Swiss watch brand in the watch world, a pioneer in watchmaking technology and innovative technology, and internationally renowned for its 24-time zone Voyager watches/plastic mechanical watches/touch screen watches

In the mid-19th century, Tissot was founded in a small town called Le Locle, one of the birthplaces of Swiss watchmaking, and has since developed a rich and fascinating history.

Félicien Tissot & Fils(查理-费理西安•天梭父子)商行。

In 1930, Tissot and Omega joined forces to form the first association of the Swiss watchmaking industry, SSIH (Swiss Watch Industry Association).

In the 70s of the 20th century, the Swiss watchmaking industry was severely affected by the quartz crisis. In 1983, Nicolas G. Hayek, who was tasked with reviewing the watchmaking industry, proposed a merger of the main watchmaking groups of the time: SSIH (Association of the Swiss Watch Industry, which mainly included Tissot and Omega) and ASUAG (Pan-Swiss Watch AG, the holding company of the manufacture of movements and semi-finished components). The group, known as SMH (Swiss company Microelectronics and Watch Industries), became The Swatch Group in 1998. In 1996, Tissot was handed over to François Timber.
