In 1910, Gabrielle Chanel opened her first millinery shop at 21 rue Cambon in Paris, making hats under the name "Chanel Fashion". Her designs were admired by the most famous French actresses of the time, and they also brought her fame. Gabrielle Chanel's simple and elegant style of dress caused a sensation and quickly became popular throughout Paris.

In 1913, Gabrielle Chanel opened a clothing store in Duville, France, and launched a sportswear collection. Her jersey knitwear was an instant success for its revolutionary design, giving women a new sense of self-awareness of their bodies and changing their lifestyles.

The Chanel brand has a wide range of products, including clothing, jewelry and accessories, cosmetics, skincare, perfumes, and more. The brand's fashion design has an elegant, simple and exquisite style, and in the 40s of the 20th century, it successfully promoted the "five-flowered" women's clothing to a simple and comfortable design.

In addition to fashion, Chanel also launched the Chanel No 5 fragrance in 1921, and the No.5 perfume bottle endorsed by actress Nicole Kidman was an Art Deco glass bottle. Chanel No.5 is the first fragrance ever named after the designer. The "double C" logo has also made this bottle the most profitable product in Chanel's history, and it has endured on the corridor of time, and it is still a key product on Chanel's official website.

AFTER CHANEL'S DEATH, HE WAS SUCCEEDED BY THE DESIGN GENIUS KARL LAGERFELD IN 1983. Since 1983, he has been Chanel's chief designer, taking Chanel's fashion to another level. Karl Lagerfeld has a free, arbitrary and relaxed design mentality, and he always uncandidly unifies the two opposing artworks in the design, which is both unrestrained and dignified, with French romance and humor, and German rigor and refinement. He doesn't have a constant styling line or a preference for color, but he can appreciate the authenticity of Chanel from his designs from beginning to end. It's also interesting to mention that the brand has been around for almost 90 years and has never made a single menswear piece until the Fall/Winter 2005/2006 collection.

Chanel has acquired Barrie Knitwear, a knitwear brand from Scotland. Previously, on August 15, 2012, Dawson International Trading Ltd, a luxury textile company, had acquired a stake in Barrie and acquired management rights, while Chanel simply incorporated the Barrie knitting trading division in Hawick.
