Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute is the only multidisciplinary ceramic undergraduate institution of higher learning in China, the name of the school is inscribed by Comrade Guo Moruo, and it is one of the first 31 universities in the country to independently recruit art undergraduates and 94 international students who are eligible to enroll international students who enjoy the Chinese Government Scholarship for master's and bachelor's degrees.
The school is located in Jingdezhen, the thousand-year-old porcelain capital in the northeast of Jiangxi, covering an area of more than 1,600 acres, with a construction area of more than 50 million square meters, a total value of more than 160 million yuan of instruments and equipment, a collection of more than 130 million books, and more than 336 electronic books.
History The predecessor of the school was the China Ceramics School, which was founded in 1910, which created a precedent for Chinese ceramic education. China Ceramics School by Hebei, Hubei, Jiangsu, Anhui, Jiangxi five provinces approved by the Qing Court School approved the establishment of the school in Raozhou, Jiangxi Province (now Poyang County), with the purpose of "cultivating talents who understand the theory and improve the technology, and improve the pottery industry". After the name of the school has been changed repeatedly, the school site has been moved repeatedly, the bloodline is inherited, the tradition is successive, and it was renamed Jiangxi Provincial Ceramics School in 1927; In 1947, it was upgraded to Jiangxi Provincial Ceramic College, becoming one of the five colleges and universities in Jiangxi Province at that time; In 1958, Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute was established, which was affiliated to the former Ministry of Light Industry.
