Geography and HistoryThe school is located in Shanghai, China, with Songjiang Campus, Yan'an Road Campus and Xinhua Road Campus, covering an area of nearly 2,000 acres and a total construction area of more than 780,000 square meters. Founded in 1951, the school was known as East China Institute of Textile Technology, which was the first textile institution of higher learning in New China.
