The well-known MBA Business School, founded in 1929, is under the supervision of Nankai University, the physical college of the National Social Science Innovation Base, the doctoral degree authorization point of the first-level discipline of business administration, and its business management is a national key discipline

The college is a physical college with national key disciplines, national key research bases and national social science innovation bases.

The college has 11 undergraduate majors in three first-level disciplines: Business Administration, Accounting, International Accounting, Tourism Management, Marketing, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Information Management and Information Systems, E-commerce, Library Science, and Archives. Thirteen master's degree authorized disciplines (majors): Business Management, Accounting, Tourism Management, Human Resource Management, Management Science and Engineering, Technology Economics and Management, Library Science, Information Science, Archival Science, MBA (including EMBA), MPACC (Master of Accounting), MPM (Master of Project Management), MEM (Master of Engineering Management), MLIS (Master of Library and Information Science), MV (Master of Asset Valuation), Corporate Governance; It has eight doctoral degree programs in business administration (including business management, accounting, technical economics and management, corporate governance, and human resource management) and eight doctoral degree programs in management science and engineering, library science, and information science.

In 2005, the college was renamed as the Business School of Nankai University. At present, there are 200 faculty members in the hospital. There are 122 full-time teachers, including 48 professors (47 doctoral supervisors), 51 associate professors, 2 associate researchers, 20 lecturers and 1 engineer.

The number of undergraduate and graduate students in the college has reached more than 4,800. On the basis of more than 300,000 books in the library of Nankai University, the library and materials center of the college has more than 150,000 books in Chinese and foreign languages and more than 700 kinds of periodicals. There are 35 multimedia classrooms and 11 professional laboratories, nearly 5,000 square meters.

After 86 years of ups and downs, bathed in the spring breeze of 25 years of reform and opening up, the Business School of Nankai University has sought development in the reform, pioneered and innovated, worked hard, united and strived, and entered the fast lane on the highway of discipline construction, talent training and the main battlefield of serving the economy, and has become a business school with outstanding disciplinary advantages, reasonable professional settings, strong faculty, good management and operation, and comprehensive strength in the forefront of the country. It is one of the most dynamic and promising colleges in Nankai University. In 2004, the School of Business was rated as an advanced collective of meritorious service in the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" of Tianjin.

History

When Nankai University was founded in 1919, it set up four disciplines: arts, science, commerce and mining with the grand plan of "governing the country with culture, strengthening the country with reason, and enriching the country with business". To meet the needs of economic and social development at that time, Nankai's business developed rapidly, and had a great influence at home and abroad, and the business school of Nankai University was established in 1929. In the 50s of the 20th century, due to the adjustment of faculties, Nankai's economic management discipline was impacted.

The reform and opening up brought about the spring of discipline development, and in 1980, the Department of Management was restored and rebuilt. In order to meet the needs of economic and social development, the Department of Tourism was established in 1981 with the entrustment and funding of the National Tourism Administration. In 1985, entrusted by the National Audit Office, Nankai University was one of the first to set up an auditing major in China and enroll students. In 1987, the Department of Accounting of Nankai University was officially rebuilt. After 1993, marketing, financial management, information management and other disciplines were established one after another. In 1994, the International Business School of Nankai University was established. In the process of rebuilding and rebuilding the Department of Management, Mr. Chen Bingfu put forward the idea of "combining theory and practice, Chinese and foreign, ancient and modern, quantitative and qualitative", and on the basis of the school motto of "fairness, fairness, and rapid change", he put forward the educational concept of "Zhiyuan Xingfang", which has now become an important part of the school culture of the School of Business.

In 1997, according to the new discipline catalogue promulgated by the Academic Degrees Office of the State Council, Nankai University adjusted the departments of the International Business School and the School of Economics, and concentrated all the majors and institutions included in the management discipline in the international business school. After the adjustment, the International Business School consists of six departments and one department, namely: the Department of International Business Management, the Department of Accounting, the Department of Tourism, the Department of Marketing, the Department of Financial Management, the Department of Information Management and the Institute of Modern Management. In January 1999, the Department of Information Resource Management, formerly part of the Faculty of Arts, was merged into the International Business School and reorganized into the Department of Information Management and Information Systems and the Department of Library Science, and the Department of Human Resource Management was established in the same year. In September 1999, the MBA Center was established, and in response to the needs of social development, the School has successively established the Master of Engineering in Project Management (MPM) Center, the Master of Accounting (MPAcc) Center, the Master of Engineering Management (MEM) Center, the Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) Center, the Master of Asset Valuation (MV) Center, the Senior Executive Training Center, the SME Research Center, the Entrepreneurship Management Research Center, the Corporate Culture Research Center, the Service Management Research Center, the Project Management Research Center and the Case Center , so that the training of management professionals has embarked on the road of regularization and rapid development.
