CEIBS is a higher management education institution established in 1994 by the Chinese government and the European Commission. The two universities are Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the European Foundation for Management Development.

The School is the first in Chinese mainland to be accredited by the European Quality Development Accreditation System (EQUIS) and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), and is the only business school in Asia that has entered the top 30 of the Financial Times global rankings for MBA, EMBA and executive training.
Nearly 70 full-time professors from 5 disciplines come from more than 10 countries and regions, and have rich experience in transnational teaching, research and practice. In addition, the school also hires nearly 100 visiting professors in various fields from all over the world every year.
The college has campuses or teaching and research bases in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Accra, Ghana and Zurich, Switzerland. Educational units

The European Foundation for Management Development, based in Brussels, is the European organization for management development information, international networking and international cooperation. Founded in 1971, the Foundation is currently the largest professional association in Europe in the field of management education and management development.
