Founded in 2004, Peking University HSBC Business School (formerly known as Peking University Shenzhen Business School) is a school integrating teaching, research and social services. On August 30, 2008, HSBC supported Peking University to build a world-class business school, and "Peking University Shenzhen Business School" was officially named "Peking University HSBC Business School", and the unveiling ceremony was held on October 22 of the same year.
The goal of the college is to build an international teaching environment, devote itself to cutting-edge academic research in economics, finance and management, build a first-class "business military academy", and cultivate business leaders with leadership, self-control and far-sighted vision. The original intention of the students of the business school is to build a talent training system that combines human quality with professional knowledge and skills, and to explore a business school education model that emphasizes both ability and political integrity, and the college strives to implement the management quality training, will quality training and team building into the entire military training process.
The School makes full use of Shenzhen's unique innovation environment and its proximity to Hong Kong's international metropolis, gives full play to the scientific research advantages of Peking University, and is committed to cultivating senior economic, managerial and financial talents with a solid theoretical foundation and strong practical work ability for government decision-making departments, research institutions, enterprises and various financial institutions. The School has set up full-time master's programs such as "Peking University Economics-University of Hong Kong Double Master of Finance", "Peking University Management-University of Hong Kong Double Master of Finance", "Peking University Finance-Chinese University of Hong Kong Double Master of Economics", "Peking University Master of Economics", "Peking University Master of Management", "Peking University Master of Finance", "Peking University Master of Business Administration (MBA)" and other full-time master's programs, as well as full-time doctoral students in Western economics. In addition, the school has been offering an EMBA program since 2010 and a part-time MBA program since 2013. The School also offers non-degree programs such as the Executive Education Program (EDP).
The college vigorously builds an international campus environment, implements an international teaching and international standard administrative management system. On the one hand, the school continues to improve the teaching and research environment in line with the world, on the other hand, it vigorously recruits outstanding teachers and students at home and abroad, and is more committed to passing the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and EFMD (European Council for Management Development) two international accreditations. On September 15, 2011, the European Association for Management Development held an accreditation committee at its headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, and unanimously passed a resolution to officially award the EPAS accreditation for the Master of Economics program at Peking University HSBC Business School.
