Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SFI) is an international financial school founded by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government in accordance with the model of a world-class business school based on Shanghai Jiao Tong University and led by famous overseas Chinese scholars in order to realize the national strategy of building Shanghai into an international financial center. The college was established on April 19, 2009 with the English name of Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF).
Gaojin adheres to the path of internationalization, marketization and specialization. Since its establishment, the institute has become the only world-class financial school in China. As one of the few successful examples of market-oriented education, Gaojin is the only college in China that has the advantage of being a "special zone within the system" – with the full support of the best combination of resources in the system (Shanghai Municipal Government and Shanghai Jiao Tong University), and can also run the school with reference to the advanced model of world-class universities and the governance structure of "professors governing the college".
