On December 2, 2015, Mengniu (02319) and Yashili (01230) jointly announced that Yashili agreed to acquire the entire equity interest in Dumex China (including the rights to be licensed or transferred to Dumex China under the trademark license agreement, patent license agreement and trademark assignment agreement) at a consideration of 150 million euros (equivalent to 1.23 billion Hong Kong dollars), all to be paid in cash.Upon closing, Dumex China will become an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Yashili. As at the date of this announcement, Mengniu and Danone Asia own 51.04% and 25% equity interests in Yashili respectively.
