Xintiandi business district
Xintiandi business district is located in the north of Hangzhou, with Hangzhou Xintiandi Street as the core, north of Liushi Expressway, south of Desheng Middle Road, west of Shangtang Road, and east of Shiqiao Road. With the opening of projects such as Hangzhou Xintiandi and Zhongda Intime City in 2013, the rise of this emerging business district was opened. Before 2006, the place was a heavy-duty industrial zone dominated by factories such as Hangyang, Hangguo, and Sinotruk. In 2007, the Hangzhou municipal government put forward the policy of "retreating from the second to the third", relocating the secondary industry from the main urban area to open the way for the introduction of the tertiary industry, so a large number of factories in the north of the city were evacuated one after another, leaving a large area of idle land, laying the groundwork for the rapid development of local commerce.
At present, the development of Xintiandi business district has begun to take shape, and there are several large shopping malls near Xintiandi Road, with a variety of choices. Unfortunately, according to the construction plan of Hangzhou Metro, there will be no subway running through the business district in the short term, and transportation needs to rely on self-driving and buses.
Xintiandi Shopping Center
Opened in 2017, Xintiandi Shopping Center is located in the core area of Xintiandi business district, which is the largest and most well-known mall in this area. It provides services to residents in surrounding communities, with comprehensive categories and formats, and is positioned in the middle and high-end.
According to the distribution of the brand, Xintiandi will occupy six floors of business area, which will be named Lohas Town, Fashion Road, Zhimei Port, Happy Valley, Power Club and Yue Pinhui. The fashion road on the first floor and the beautiful port on the second floor include many famous clothing and footwear brands at home and abroad, including BOY LONDON, Lee, Adidas Original and La Chapelles, which are popular among young people, and SMITHPOLOV, CHAPS, ECCO, Camicissima, etc., which are preferred by mature men and women. Happy Valley on the third floor is a children's area covering the whole floor, such as Toys"R"Us , Gymboree, Beanie Wardrobe, PawinPaw and other brands, covering children's entertainment, photography and clothing needs. The power club on the fourth floor focuses on sports brands and leisure and entertainment, with well-known brands such as Topsport Sports City, reebok, and skechers, and INLOVE KTV also in the center of the floor. In terms of food and beverage, most of the shops are concentrated on the east side and the fifth floor of Xintiandi, mainly a number of small-scale restaurants, with a wide selection but few bright spots.
The internal layout of Xintiandi is more complex, with a trapezoidal structure that can be divided into front, rear and wing areas, each with a different brand distribution. In addition, the escalators are messy, and there are not many indication signs, so if necessary, you need to use the electronic screen next to the escalator for navigation. It is open from Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 22:00.
CUHK Yintai
Completed in 2015, Zhongda Yintai is the seventh store established by Yintai Group in Hangzhou, positioning it in the mid-range. Chow Tai Fook, Ashima, ONLY, Hot Air, Watsons, VERO MODA, Adidas, Nike, GXG and other dozens of categories, more than 100 popular brands, can be seen here. The setting of gyms, KTVs and cinemas can also meet the needs of entertainment and leisure to the greatest extent. On each floor of CUHK Yintai, there are also a large number of restaurants, such as well-known chain restaurants such as Haidilao, New Bailu and Fat Brothers, which can feast customers on about 100 yuan per person.
Overall, CUHK Yintai is an ideal place for comprehensive shopping and consumption, and the best place for nearby residents to solve their daily life and consumption in one stop. Customers arriving by car can download the Meow Street app on the official website to use services such as online navigation and payment. The mall is open from Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 22:00.
