The buffet restaurant at R&F Hilton may not be one of the best in terms of cuisine and service, but when it comes to the superior convenience of the location, few can compare with it. The hotel is adjacent to Wanda Commercial Street, backed by Dongxing Snack Street, and only a 5-minute walk to Yongxingfang. For tourists and business travelers, the buffet restaurant at the R&F Hilton Hotel is a good choice.
The number of hot Chinese dishes in the Hilton cafeteria is hardly satisfactory. From a flavor point of view, soy sauce pork ribs are worth recommending, and the ribs grilled from the flaky pork ribs in the pork breast cavity are very flavorful, and meat lovers can enjoy it. Common dishes such as grilled squid and beef tenderloin with black pepper all have one thing in common: heavy oil and salt.
In terms of Western cuisine, the Hilton is also not as good as it could be. Chefs in charge of frying rarely control the heat, and the meat quality of beef and lamb chops is generally woody. In contrast, foie gras is worth a try, as the plump liver slices are tender and smooth, making them a classic delicacy.
The hotel's décor is local, with two sculptures of Qin Horses standing on the median line of the restaurant, separating the seating area from the pick-up area, and the seats are both made of wood, elegant and solemn. Perhaps in order to further highlight the local elements of Xi'an, the restaurant deliberately set up a special Zhenzi noodle area in the already slightly tight space.
There are several types of noodles: rice noodles, spinach noodles, rice noodles, and egg noodles. You can choose pork noodles or vegetarian noodles, and they are delicious with oily chili peppers and soy sauce. Another way to eat it is noodle soup, where the chef puts the noodles in a rich broth and cooks them for a while, the taste is relatively monotonous, and the sesame oil is very heavy, so you can tell the chef to control it properly.
Western staples are a little perfunctory, cheese pizza is tasteless, a far cry from some cafeterias with pizza ovens, and even the most common fries are treated too soft and salty. As an appetizer, there are a variety of cheese plates and salads that will appeal to the taste buds, including fruit salad, Thai beef salad, Greek salad, and so on.
There are relatively few types of seafood, and standard dishes such as crab legs, scallops, and oysters are also absent from time to time, which is unsatisfactory at a dinner price of 288 yuan per person. Fortunately, the mussels and conch ingredients are fresh, and the crabs that have been disassembled are also served. Sashimi is made up of tuna, dace, roe and chewy, thick-sliced salmon.
There are many sweet varieties in the restaurant, such as chocolate brownies, macarons and a variety of mousse cakes, but they are sweeter than the Hyatt buffet restaurant, and the sugar balls that decorate the surface of the cake are too hard and a little redundant. The dessert section also serves relatively rare desserts such as madeleine, linzer and opera cakes, which are worthy of recognition.
