Located on the basement floor of the Westin Hotel, the Westin Taste Café is able to actively update the menu according to consumer needs. Its menu ranges from Japanese cuisine to European and American cuisines, and is unique in the industry for its exquisite and delicious flavors.
Westin's Western chefs are extraordinary, and the dishes they cook are no less than Shangri-La Coffee, which is famous for its Western cuisine. Grilled lamb chops are the signature dish, and many high-end buffet restaurants in Xi'an are not good at controlling the heat of fried lamb chops, the lamb chops are either overcooked and the meat is hard and rough, or too raw and improperly seasoned, and the ingredients themselves are not superior to no smell. Westin's grilled lamb chops are worth trying, as they are juicy and thick, and are recommended for a creamy mushroom soup.
The seafood area is slightly mediocre. Crab legs, conch shells and mussels are all standard in the hotel's cafeteria, and the crab legs are missing when they are replenished. Salmon sashimi is freshly cut and has a smooth texture, but it is rare to find such a fine part as the belly. You can ask the sashimi master to cut it thickly, and the taste will be more satisfying. Diners who are not used to eating raw can also ask the waiter to provide a small hot pot for a single person, and the scallop mussels are boiled and eaten.
The Westin Taste Cafe also has a food theme. For example, in the "Sichuan Food Festival" event, which has a good reputation among diners, Zhiwei Cafe once launched a variety of Sichuan-style hot dishes with unique flavors. Aromatic delicacies such as spicy chicken and strings of incense occupy the main position in the hot food area.
The dessert station is a highlight of Westin's Taste of Taste, with authentic macarons and blueberry cheeses. Yangzhi manna is a classic Hong Kong-style dessert, and the taste of grapefruit, mango and sago is very sweet after cooking, which naturally becomes a must for many guests, and the evaluation is even far more than other western desserts. The ice cream section of Zhiwei Restaurant used to serve Häagen-Dazs, but now it has been changed to a locally-inspired brand, Shaan-san. In addition to the usual flavors such as matcha and sea salt, the store also offers ice cream made with special ingredients such as mash, which is an attempt to differentiate itself but also tastes good. The freshly ground black coffee in the beverage area is smooth and delicate in the mouth, full of aroma, which is not comparable to the coffee served in ordinary buffet restaurants.
Westin Taste Savour offers buffet services for both lunch and dinner, and dinner is more varied than lunch. The hotel uses black and red as the main color, the lighting is dim, and the overall decoration style is quite ancient. The restaurant is close to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and parents often take their children to Zhiwei to dine after visiting the scenic spot, so the environment is a bit noisy. Xi'an locals are not very enthusiastic about the buffet, although the Westin Zhiwei dishes are good and stable, and the situation of full seats is rare, diners can go directly without prior reservation, but because of the proximity to tourist attractions and limited parking spaces, guests by car are advised to arrive early.
