Although the survival of boutique cafes in Xi'an is uncertain, there are still a small number of cafes that have developed from a single store to a well-known local chain brand, the most representative of which is M cafe.
Formerly known as More café, M café opened its first store at the end of 2012 and now has opened several stores in Xi'an. Although coffee and desserts are the main categories of M cafe, the popularity of the latter often overshadows the former. M cafe has a wide variety of coffees, in Italian coffee, latte can only use one espresso base, and Australian white can make SOE. M Ao Bai belongs to the selection and recommendation of M café, and the sweetness is not as mellow as that of Ye Cafe, and the taste is bitter. M cafe has a lot of new coffee or creative coffee, such as tangerine peel black coffee, tonic iced coffee, ice cream coffee, etc., and the products are decent. There are not many varieties of single origin coffee, in addition to a few regular beans such as Costa Rica, Mandheling, Kenya, etc., there are also some beans that are very rare in Xi'an, such as Ninety Plus 90 Red Outlook from Panama, which was bid by M cafe at the coffee bean auction.
The most criticized thing about M cafe is its service, for example, at SKP stores, where the number of staff is small and they are often overwhelmed. The waiter was cold and didn't move quickly enough to clean up the table.
M café has positioned itself as an "aesthetic café", and each store has put a lot of thought into the decoration design, such as the old town root G-park store is industrial, the glass wall and streamlined space design is quite futuristic, the folk paradise store is full of neon lights and other elements, and the SKP store is lively and bright with yellow as the main color. In terms of "appearance", M cafe is a leader in the industry, but when it comes to production and service, the largest local café brand in Xi'an can't help but disappoint.
