Tiger Yin - Merchant Reviews

Opened in 2018, Huyin is not as well-known as Sushi Yi and He Restaurant, and the price is on par with Sushi Yi, making it one of the most expensive Japanese restaurants in Wuhan.

Ingredients and chefs are important criteria for judging the quality of a Japanese restaurant, and although Tiger Yin is only a new restaurant, its ingredients and chefs have reached a certain level in Wuhan. Most of the seafood ingredients are imported from Japan, and the bluefin tuna, peony shrimp and red sea urchin from Hokkaido are of high quality, ensuring the freshness and original taste of the sashimi. Chef Itamae of Toranoin, who used to work at Sushi Ichi, has a wealth of experience in Japanese cuisine, especially in the production of sushi, slicing, kneading and other skills, and can serve many diners at the same time, which is also the basic standard of a good sushi master.

Tiger Yin is similar to Sushi Yi in terms of dining mode, but its degree of secrecy and customization is even greater than that of Sushi Yi. Like Sushiichi, Tiger Ginn only accepts customers who make a reservation in advance, and reservations must be made at least one day in advance. The price of the set menu ranges from 1,500 yuan to 2,000 yuan, and the form of the set meal is similar to kaiseki cuisine or kaiseki cuisine, from the first payment (appetizer) to sashimi, sushi, main dishes, soups, etc. Tiger Yin also has a unique idea for the presentation of all dishes, all of which have been delicately plated in different shapes, and even simple sashimi will be served on different containers with different materials according to different ingredients.

Located in a residential area near Han Street, without the hustle and bustle of the commercial district, Tiger Yin has a neat row of bar counters running through the lobby on the first floor, where you can watch the chef prepare the dishes in action, and the chef can adjust the ingredients according to the diners' preferences. The biggest difference from Sushi Ichi is that there are private rooms on the second floor, some of which can be directly connected to the tea break room, so you can taste the Japanese tea ceremony culture before eating. If Sushi emphasizes the production process of Japanese food and the experience of ingredients, then Tiger Yin emphasizes the cultural perception of Japanese food and the privacy of high-end dining.

Tiger Yin is also very careful to create a dining environment, and the entrance is a small wooden sliding door, which is covered by a curtain. The interior is also made of wood, with wind chimes hanging from the replica eaves, and ukiyo-e paintings on the walls. The interior of the private room is restored to the style of Japanese kaiseki dining, and the chairs imitate the kneeling style of eating in Japan, but there is no need to actually kneel and sit. When eating, you need to take off your shoes to enter, and there is a hollow part under the table to make it easy for diners to sit comfortably.

Huyin is a local brand in Wuhan, and compared with Sushi Yi, which has been operating for many years, it has only learned the form. If you're just looking for authentic Japanese food, Sushi Ichi is even better. But if you want a banquet, or want a more intimate and comfortable dining atmosphere, then Tiger Yin is better than Sushi Yi.
