Compared with the beautiful steamed shrimp and Balinese lobster, Dong Ji shrimp became famous earlier in the world. The owner, Dong Jianxiang, has been in the lobster industry since 2007, and the restaurant has had many fans since its opening. It is precisely because the business is so good that there are often traffic jams near the restaurant, and Dong Jianxiang has to move to his current address. In 2015, Dong Ji Shrimp Xing Tianxia was also interviewed and broadcast by CCTV's "China Shop", and its popularity reached a higher level.
Although the restaurant business is booming, Dong Jianxiang has not directly contracted the crayfish breeding base, and has maintained cooperation with a Honghu fish farmer for many years. The braised king shrimp has a deep flavor and has its own characteristics. However, the doneness of the bean paste is not enough, resulting in the raw bean paste occupying the obvious flavor. The shrimp meat is spicy and strong, but the sweet noodle sauce used in the restaurant makes the aftertaste bland and sweet. The shrimp meat is plump, which shows that the heat in the kitchen is properly controlled, but the flavor of the dish does not bring surprises.
1.5 taels or more of steamed king shrimp can indeed better reflect the freshness of crayfish and shrimp meat. But the dipping sauce prepared by Dong Ji can't match such a prawn advantage. The sauce is sweet and sour, spicy and numb, the taste is distinct, but the fragrance is bland, inferior to the industry benchmark beautiful steamed shrimp. Garlic crayfish only has the best specifications, and the taste of the garlic itself is not strong, although you can feel the taste of the shrimp meat, but there is no surprise performance.
The restaurant in Dong Kee Shrimp Shop is similar to a traditional farm, but it is relatively narrow and divided, giving people a sense of oppression. The restaurant has private rooms, but they are only separated by a few wooden planks, which is less private.
