Opened for nearly 30 years, Dong Zhong Xiang was originally just a street restaurant located in the underground shopping mall of Yangjiaping, specializing in all kinds of Chongqing-style food, and was well-known in the surrounding area. In July 2018, the underground mall was closed for renovation, and Dong Zhong Xiang reopened in the nearby Minong shopping paradise.

The cold cake is the "treasure of the town shop" of the fragrant cold cake in the cave, which is different from the translucent white and soft glutinous of the ordinary cold cake, the surface of the fragrant cold cake in the cave is light yellow, and it is generally cut into small pieces for the meal, and the number of pieces is more. Paired with brown sugar water, it is sweet but not greasy, elastic and refreshing, and the taste is quite unique. Staple foods such as noodles, shoushou, lettuce skin, and rice noodles can be eaten neatly under the owner's easy operation, and all of them are classic delicacies with Chongqing characteristics, and there are few minefields.

After the relocation, the area of Dongzhong Xiang has not been expanded, and it can still only accommodate a few tables, which can accommodate about 10 people at peak times. The décor is kept in the same simple style as the old site, with only menus hanging on the walls as decorations, and a kitchen at the front of the store. It should be noted that the location of the incense in the cave is relatively hidden, and when you arrive at the entrance of Minon Shopping Paradise, you must pay attention to the arrow on the ground to indicate that you will arrive at the store.
