Huaxing Street Omelette Noodles - Merchant Reviews

Huaxing Street Omelette Noodles is also an old restaurant with a long history on the list. In the twenty-sixth year of Guangxu, the old shopkeeper Fu Zhuru opened a noodle restaurant called "Copper Pot Omelette Noodles" on Changshun Street, using special copper pots, copper tripods, copper scoops, and copper spoons. In 1932, the shop was first moved to the East Gate City God Temple, and it was not until the 50s that it was moved to Wah Hing Zheng Street, and it has its current name. However, after several migrations, the shop eventually settled on Zitong Bridge Street, adjacent to Huaxing Street. At the 13th Chengdu Food Tourism Festival, it was also rated as one of the "Top Ten Noodle Restaurants in Chengdu" by the organizing committee.

The omelette is the restaurant's proudest dish, but it doesn't look as good as it tastes, with golden omelettes covering the noodles, messy, overripe tomatoes scattered across the eggs, and red broth spilling from the perimeter of the omelette and glossing with oil. It smells like a tomato's unique sour aroma, and when you take a sip of the soup, it's sour and sweet. The omelette is crispy but not burnt, and the holes created by the oil just hold the sour soup, and you will feel like a burst of pulp in your mouth. The yolk is very smooth and tender, and the rich egg aroma flows out between the half raw and half cooked. Its good taste also attracts many diners to add several servings after eating. In addition to the store's three main products, omelet noodles, tomato noodles and hot and sour noodles, Huaxing Street also serves Chengdu snacks such as mash noodles, sweet water noodles and rabbit head.

Huaxing Street Omelette Noodles looks like an old restaurant with a history of precipitation. The rust-colored light boxes outline the storefront in white letters, which are more eye-catching at night. The doors and windows below are made of bamboo carvings, giving it a retro feel. The lower part of the store's walls is bare black bricks, the white paint on the top has begun to peel, and there are several black-and-white photos showing the style of old Chengdu hanging on the walls. The hygiene situation is still acceptable, the marble countertops are relatively refreshing, and the floor is also very clean. Aside from the slower speed of serving, there are not many things to criticize in the service.
