The Peninsula Hong Kong - Agency Review

Founded in Hong Kong in 1866, the five-star luxury five-star hotel brand Peninsula is the oldest hotel company in Asia, and was the first hotel in Asia to hire porters based on the standards of young European "waitresses". Located at the southernmost tip of the Kowloon Peninsula, The Peninsula Hong Kong is named The Peninsula Hotel, surrounded by large venues such as the Hong Kong Space Museum and the Hong Kong Museum of Art, and across the sea from Hong Kong Island.

The Peninsula offers a wide range of guest rooms, with the new rooms designed to be both classic and elegant, with the finest materials and craftsmanship complementing each other, as well as the high-tech features of today's luxury yachts, luxury cars and private jets, reflecting the Peninsula as the "Lady of the Far East". There are four types of guest rooms: Deluxe Room, Deluxe Atrium Room, Stunt Deluxe Room, and Stunt Deluxe Seaview Room, with an area of about 45 square meters, and the price starts from HK$3,000 per night. However, in addition to the sea view room, the other three types of room views are the vestibule or Kowloon city view, which is slightly single and dull, has no great viewing value, and is not cost-effective.

The hotel's suites range from 80 to 120 square metres with spectacular views of Victoria Harbour, with a minimum price of HK$6,000 per night. In addition to the regular suites, the hotel also has two specialty suites. One of them, the Marco Polo Suite, was formerly the hotel's original Presidential Suite. Featuring two bedrooms with separate dining and entertainment areas, this suite is ideal for social evenings and complimentary Rolls-Royce transfers for guests staying in this suite. The other is a Peninsula Suite with an area of 377 square meters, built on the top floor of the new wing. The suite features a double-height living room with floor-to-ceiling windows and a private terrace with stunning views of Victoria Harbour, while the interior features an antique Biedermeier sofa and baby piano furnishings. Rates for the two Specialty Suites are subject to change upon request, starting from HK$20,000 per night.

The Peninsula Hong Kong has established itself as a model of culinary excellence, with seven gourmet restaurants and two fine bars, including Michelin-starred Golden Lun House, renowned for its haute Cantonese cuisine and the golden days of the twenties and thirties. In addition, there is a Michelin-recommended restaurant, Gidis Restaurant, which serves classic French cuisine and is also very popular. In addition, Felix Restaurant offers contemporary European cuisine, Ruiqiao Court serves traditional Swiss cuisine, and The Lobby Lounge serves English afternoon tea. Finally, there is the Terrace Restaurant, which offers a wide selection of buffets, while Imasa Japanese Restaurant offers high-end and exquisite authentic Japanese cuisine, while The Peninsula Bar offers fine whisky paired with delicious chocolates, live cocktails and fine champagne and wine. The options are overwhelming.

The Peninsula Spa covers an area of 1,200 square metres, one of the largest in Hong Kong. The 24-hour fitness center is equipped with a variety of cardio, strength and weight training equipment from the American Life Fitness brand. After a workout, guests can relax in the five-star changing rooms with a wide range of facilities, including a hot tub, cold plunge tub, sauna and steam room, all fully personalised.

In addition, the Peninsula is an extravagant land, sea and air tour that allows guests to explore the spectacular beauty of Hong Kong by helicopter booked by the hotel. Guests will then be taken aboard a luxury yacht for a delicious Peninsula feast. After the sea excursion, a Rolls-Royce will take guests on a land excursion for a luxurious experience. Rates are subject to change depending on the number of people and requirements, and reservations must be made three weeks in advance.

However, due to its high popularity and worldwide popularity, The Peninsula Hotel receives a large number of guests, and the lobby can be a little chaotic and noisy during peak hours. The ratio of the number of service reception staff is small, and it is difficult to take care of it when it is busy, which is slightly cramped. Guests are advised to avoid peak dining hours at The Lobby for a more comfortable stay.
