SpaceCycle-Agency Reviews

Located at HKRI Taikoo Hui, Shanghai SpaceCycle is the third SpaceCycle venue in mainland China after Taikoo Li Sanlitun in Beijing and China World Trade Center in Beijing, and is currently the largest venue in mainland China. Despite being a fitness center, founder Matthew Allison is also the founder of Sony Music in Taiwan and China, so it's fair to say that SpaceCycle is born with musical genes.

SpaceCycle only offers small group classes, including Cycle, Barre, and Yoga. Cycle is spinning bike, compared with the spinning bike class in the traditional gym, SpaceCycle's Cycle class is highly professional, using the highest configuration of Schwinn Doji brand bicycles, each person has a pair of bicycle special lock shoes, after being in place, the coach will check and confirm the lock safety, and conduct sufficient warm-up before the class to avoid sports injuries. Each lesson is like a big party, the playlist is designed by a professional music curatorial department, the music style and theme are updated frequently, and some courses are equipped with live DJs. In addition to the music, the party feeling of the Cycle class is also reflected in the effects of lighting, etc., and the instructor changes the sound and light effects in the room according to the rhythm, which is no different from that of a nightclub.

Barre actually comes from the Xtend Barre course, which is popular in Europe and the United States, and many celebrity models choose to use it as a sculpting solution. SpaceCycle's Barre combines ballet, Pilates, yoga, and dance movements, with elastic bands, elastic balls, small dumbbells and other props as auxiliaries, and uses bars common in ballet practice to complete ballet dance moves. Compared to the Cycle, Barre's rhythm is more soothing and less intense, which is more suitable for the need to correct posture and shape the body.

The SpaceCycle store is predominantly white, orange and gray, and the interior is extremely simple and has a very futuristic feel. In the store, you can walk barefoot without any scruples, the aisles are clean, no dust or water, the toilets can also be entered barefoot, and the floors are cleaned frequently and in place. As soon as each class is over, the cleaning aunt will immediately enter the classroom to clean the floor. In terms of changing clothes and bathing, SpaceCycle adopts a separate bathroom design, and the bathroom door can be locked and closed, leaving no gaps, and the privacy of the shower is very guaranteed. Showers are sourced from Kohler, and color-coded shower gels, shampoos, and conditioners are provided in each bathroom.

The disadvantages are also obvious: SpaceCycle is located in a high-end shopping mall where every inch of land is at a premium, and there are serious shortcomings in space: the locker room is extremely crowded, and many people often feel stretched thin when changing clothes at the same time during peak hours; The bathroom space is small, if you hang a change of clothes on the door, it is easy to get wet with water, and there is no shelf provided, and there is nowhere to place your own toiletries except the floor; There are currently only two toilets, and there are often queues to use the toilet.

The singleness of the curriculum is the shortcoming of SpaceCycle, which determines that people are more inclined to choose SpaceCycle as a supplement to training rather than regular training courses. If you're also interested in this fitness trend from Taiwan, it's a good idea to practice once in a while outside of work.
