As a representative of Shanghai's long-established Mexican restaurants, Maya Mexican Restaurant has won the title of the best Latin American restaurant in the magic city for several consecutive years, and can be described as the leader of high-end Mexican restaurants in Shanghai. The restaurant is low-key hidden in the Sifang New Town on Julu Road. However, as the saying goes, the aroma of wine is not afraid of deep alleys, and with high-quality Mexican California-style cuisine, the restaurant is still full when it arrives, and it is quite popular. Among them, most of them are foreign diners, which reflects its authentic and exotic flavors.

Originally from Mexico, the restaurant's new head chef, Jonathan Ynsensé, has worked as a senior chef at Intro, a renowned restaurant in Puebla, Mexico, where he cooked Mexican food for two popes in Rome and Vatican City, and spent several years as a culinary teacher at universities across Mexico. In 2017, he came to Maya Maya in Shanghai as the head chef. Ynsensé's fusion of traditional and innovative cuisine deviates the restaurant's cuisine from classic German-Mexican cuisine to modern Mexican.

Taco burritos are one of the most well-known Mexican specialties in China, made from corn flour to make tortillas, rolled into a U-shape and baked. It can be freely filled with meat filling, vegetables, cheese and other fillings, and different combinations bring different flavors of Taco. There are three different flavors to try, the Taco Combo platter, the most recommended are the beef and cod, the beef is tender and chewy, and the cod is slightly spicy and appetizing, sandwiched between crispy nachos for added layering.
