Alameen Arabic Restaurant - Business Reviews

Alameen Arabic Restaurant is located in the Sanlitun Embassy District, behind the European Union Embassy. The owner and chef of the restaurant is Lebanese, and Alameen is an Arabic restaurant specializing in Lebanese cuisine.

Lebanon is located on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea and its food is part of the Levantine cultural circle. Among Arab countries, the Levantine diet is more delicate, which is closer to Mediterranean countries such as Greece and Cyprus; Lebanon is the most Westernized Arab country, so compared with other Middle Eastern countries, Lebanese cuisine is exquisite and diverse, and it is known as the "king of Middle Eastern cuisine".

Hummus is a classic traditional dish of the Levant region on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean and an indispensable food on the Lebanese table. In Arabic, Hummus means "chickpea", which are boiled and mashed, added with olive oil, white sesame paste to make a sauce, and flavored with lemon juice. The resulting humus sauce is dense and fluffy, with a delicate taste and a rich and full bean aroma, and can be served with cakes, vegetables or grilled meats. Boiled chickpeas are low-fat and high-protein, and they taste pure and refreshing. In addition to the Humus sauce, Alameen also offers walnut sauce, eggplant marinade, green pepper sauce and thick yogurt, and a choice of appetizer platters to try all at once, with pasta dishes such as Pita bread and other sauces.

Order an appetizer platter and a Pita cake is not to be missed. Pita bread, also known as Lebanese bread and Arabic bread, is very popular in the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean. The Pita has a hollow center that can be cut open and stuffed with a variety of fillings, or it can be dipped in Hummus and eaten. It's important to know that although Pita is like a dough cake, it is actually a low-rise flatbread with a fluffy, soft texture and a slight toughness. Alameen's Pita is an authentic classic, full of flavor and just the right amount of heat, and the more you chew, the more fragrant it becomes. In addition to the humus sauce, another chickpea product, Falafel, is also worth trying, where chickpeas and vegetable puree are pounded together and kneaded into small cakes, fried on both sides until golden brown, and served with a yogurt sauce for a crispy and delicious taste, which can also be eaten with Pita.

In Lebanese cuisine, poultry is more common than red meat, which is generally dominated by lamb. Alameen has a wide variety of chicken dishes, such as yakitori, fried chicken breast, grilled chicken thigh potato chips, and chicken rice. Mutton is worth recommending, roast lamb legs, lamb ribs and other fat and lean are appropriate, tender and sticky, the meat is burnt and fragrant, and the crispy taste is not greasy. The mutton pie is also worth a try, the meat is crispy, the crust is charred, and the cheese is topped, and the lamb inside is full of aroma, no smell at all, and the taste is fragrant. If you're having trouble choosing between a variety of meats, assorted grilled meats are also a good choice. Unlike regular skewers, Alameen's beef skewers are made with meat puree, which is minced and seasoned, wrapped in an iron skewer and grilled, and then removed from the skewers and plated. Alameen's assorted barbecue has a distinctly Arabic style, with unrestrained seasoning, strong spicy flavor, and the unique aroma of beef and sheep itself, paired with garlic yogurt.

Alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited in Islam, but Lebanon is also a historic wine region, and customers can also taste blends from KSARA, Lebanon's oldest and most prolific winery, in Alameen.

Alameen's décor is generous and modern, with clean lines and clear windows, without the strong ethnic characteristics of Arabic restaurants in our traditional impression, just like a simple Western restaurant. The restaurant offers direct tablet ordering and shisha for casual dining.
