Canton Tower, also known as Guangzhou New TV Tower, commonly known as "Little Manwaist", is one of the landmark buildings in Guangzhou, officially opened to the public on September 30, 2010. It is currently the world's thinnest building waist (the smallest diameter is only more than 30 meters) and the most difficult construction building, and it is also the first tourist tower in China and the third in the world.
The total height of the building is 600 meters, the main tower is 450 meters high, and the antenna mast is 150 meters high. There are 5 functional areas in the Canton Tower, which integrate sightseeing, celebration, exhibition, catering, entertainment and other functions. These include the world's highest outdoor viewing platform of 488m, a high-altitude horizontal Ferris wheel, a high-speed sky extreme amusement project, as well as 2 observation halls, suspended corridors, ladders, 4D and 3D dynamic cinemas, revolving restaurants, exhibition facilities and popular science exhibition halls. The revolving restaurant is located on the 106th floor of Canton Tower, and there are four restaurants, namely Xuanji Mediterranean Buffet Restaurant (the world's highest revolving restaurant), Lutes French Revolving Restaurant, Yuejiaoxuan Chinese Restaurant and Chopsticks Hui Restaurant.
The existing entertainment projects of Canton Tower include "Ferris Wheel", "Rappelling Experience" and "Spider-Man Plank Road". The "Ferris wheel" is located at the top of the tower at 450-454 meters, and is the highest Ferris wheel in the world. It is composed of a total of 16 sightseeing pods, linked to the slew, placed on the edge, each with a diameter of 3.2 meters, can accommodate 4-6 passengers. Unlike the usual erected Ferris wheel, it does not hang on rails, but runs along inclined tracks. It takes about 20 minutes to run for a week, and visitors can enjoy the whole view of Guangzhou and the dazzling night from all angles. It should be noted that the single ticket price for this activity is 130 yuan/person, and it does not include the ticket to the tower.
"Spider-Man Plank Road" is located at 168 meters - 334.4 meters of Canton Tower, with a total length of about 1,000 meters and a total height of 166.4 meters. The trail starts on the 33rd floor and ends on the 62nd floor, and it generally takes 40 minutes to 1 hour to complete the climb, and the fastest one can use 25 minutes. In the process of climbing the plank road, visitors are also not allowed to run, jump, or cross the handrail. Within 10 tourists, a staff member will be arranged to accompany them throughout the whole process to ensure that the tourists are within the sight of the staff. In addition, there are rest areas on the 42nd, 54th, and 62nd floors, where visitors can also drink and rest, and those who give up on the way can transfer to the elevator.
In addition, the "Downhill Experience" attraction has won the Guinness World Record for "Highest Thrill Ride", and the downhill seat here is 150 meters higher than the world's highest Las Vegas amusement park jumping machine, and has now become the heartbeat choice for many tourists to experience exciting amusements.
