Tailiang - Merchant Reviews

Tailiang is a young brand under Guangzhou Banana Leaf, and among the new museums in Southeast Asia, there is a trend of catching up. Tailiang takes the simplified traditional route, the overall positioning is younger and brighter, and the price is more approachable than banana leaves. Except for spices and sauces, which use Thai ingredients, the kitchen does not prepare semi-finished products, and the ingredients and finished products are completed by the kitchen. The chef of banana leaves also regularly visits the restaurant to guide them, and their products have the shadow of banana leaves. In order to adapt to the taste of young people, Tailiang's menu has cut down a lot of large dishes compared to banana leaves, and retains dishes with high order rate, fast delivery, and no mistake resistance. The dishes are miniature and focus on colour matching and plating. We recommend Thai drenched deep sea white snails, Malay curry beef brisket, pineapple multi-flavored fish, roasted Thai pork neck, and barbecue snack platter. They want to innovate their desserts and always use mango cheong fun to attract customers, but in fact, the best ones are the traditional mango sticky rice and coconut milk sago cakes. The decoration of Tailiang has a sense of being hidden in the city, the lights in the hall are dim, and the wooden benches, rattan chandeliers, and dim lights make the dining atmosphere more private and relaxed. Elephant murals and Thai handicrafts decorate the restaurant, and each area is uniquely decorated. Among them, there are mostly four-person tables, square tables, round tables and booths distributed in different areas, and there are semi-open round tables shrouded in bamboo, but unfortunately there is only one large private room. There are free shrimp chips to eat when waiting for the table, and the water is also lemongrass water, and the details are quite intimate. However, the service is not timely and fast, and the order of serving is not very standardized, and there is still a lot of room for improvement. Similar to Tailiang is the new brand Jujiao under Banana Leaf, which also takes the younger route and opens in shopping malls with high foot traffic, with fewer dishes but an added window dedicated to desserts. It is pertinent to say that the taste of Tailiang is comparable to that of Jujiao, but Tailiang's products are more stable, and the desserts of Jujiao are better than the main dishes, and the cost performance is not high, so it is not recommended.

Tailiang - Recommended dishes

Green papaya salad
The main ingredient is Thai green papaya shredded, the ingredients are green beans, garlic, dried shrimp, tomatoes, coconut sugar, chili peppers, etc., and then add sour juice and lemon juice, the whole dish is spicy and sour, the taste is crisp and very appetizing.
Mango sticky rice
The green and white glutinous rice is a surprise and is dyed by the chef with pandan leaf juice and has a natural color. Mango is sweet and sour, wrapped in Thai sticky rice soaked in coconut milk, a wonderful combination of sweet and sour.
Abyssal white snail
The dishes are loaded in Thai silver utensils, covered with evenly sized ice cubes, and the deep sea white snails are neatly arranged in them, which looks noble and colorful. The secret sauce and white snails are soaked in low temperature and refrigerated until they are delicious, sweet, firm and crispy, just like the white rich beauty on the table.
