Zhangmen is a craft beer brand from Taiwan, which currently has ten branches in Taiwan, making it the craft brewery brand with the largest number of branches in Taiwan. In March 2017, Zhangmen Craft Brewery set up its first overseas store in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. At the end of 2017, Zhangmen Craft Brewing entered the mainland, and its first store was set up in Yifang City, Bao'an, Shenzhen.
Different from the rugged and simple American industrial style of most craft beer bars, the interior of Zhangmen Craft Brewery Shenzhen is more like a café, with rustic white tables and chairs retro elegant and approachable, green plants and flowers everywhere, and it is a bar that is also suitable for visiting during tea time.
Quality is the foundation of all-you-can-drink. Zhangmen Craft Brewing has distilleries in Taipei and Suzhou, with a monthly output of up to 10 tons, which is different from small-scale workshop production. The Shenzhen store has 24 heads, all of which are supplied with Zhangmen's own beer, which is connected to a professional refrigerated wine supply system to ensure the quality of draft beer. In the 2016 Australian International Beer Competition, Zhangmen Craft Brewing made its debut in Taiwan, and two beers, "Professor X" and "74", won gold and bronze awards in their respective categories.
Professor X is an Imperial Stout, a dark wine with a strong burnt taste of roasted barley and a strong bitter taste, so if you are not a craft beer drinker, you should not try it lightly. 74 is an American-style IPA, with an amber body, a fruity aroma of citrus and passion fruit, and a bitter aftertaste. 55% wheat is more suitable for the general public, the whole body is golden yellow, this wine is added with 55% wheat, so it has a strong wheat flavor, the mouth has a sweet aftertaste, and there is no pressure for novices to taste. Of course, the best way to do this is to order a tasting menu, either from a selection of the set menus offered by the store or to suit your own tastes.
The snacks of the master's craft brewing are also interesting. The menu is very rich, in addition to the common fried snacks and Western snacks, Taiwanese style foods such as lo-mei platter, Taiwanese cut buns, and Taiwanese braised pork rice also appear on the menu. Moreover, in order to meet the needs of the non-spicy and unhappy crowd, Zhangmen Craft Brewing also provides a lot of Sichuan-style cold dishes, which are directly airlifted to the store from Sichuan.
