Taps is a craft beer label co-founded in 2014 by several foreign craft beer enthusiasts, and the former Coco Park store is in the limelight in Shenzhen, where craft beer culture is still poor, and has appeared in many lifestyle self-media recommended articles. Later, due to internal problems within the founding team, there is currently only one store left in Nanshan at Taps Craft Beer House, and the Coco Park store no longer exists. Taps Brewhouse has been named Best Craft Beer Bar in That's PRD Magazine's Annual Food & Drink Awards for the third year in a row.
When you step into Nanshan Taps, you will first be caught by several metal fermentation tanks. The Taps beer house is decorated in an American industrial style, with strong rough red brick walls, a long and narrow space, a simple decoration design, a regular arrangement of two-seaters, and several long bar tables, and the overall store image is very metallic. The fly in the ointment is that Taps doesn't have a bar counter, the décor is too simple, and as a craft beer house, the atmosphere is not strong enough.
The wine list is full of craft brewing bars with locally brewed beers in Shenzhen, which is rare in Shenzhen, and Taps is one of them. Taps has 18 taps, and the bartender will put a variety of freshly brewed beers into your glass, such as ale, pale ale, Indian pale ale, stout, cesson, sour beer, etc., the total number is not much, and the variety of alcohols is relatively rich. However, because there are too few faucets, it is a pity that we cannot drink excellent domestic and foreign beer at TAPS.
Among the 18 home-brewed beers of Taps, cucumber plugging is a relatively beginner summer brew, which is recommended for customers who are trying craft beer for the first time because it is brewed with freshly squeezed cucumber juice and has a clear yellow color in the glass. In addition to cucumber stopper, sour beers and white beers such as Berlin sour wheat and turning point wheat are good choices for beginners. If you haven't tried nitro beer yet, there are two nitro beers on the wine list, which replace carbon dioxide and float like a milk cap on top of the body for an extremely smooth taste. The last three on Taps' wine list are IPAs with more hops, so hop lovers might want to try them out. Taps offers 3 sizes of 180ml, 330ml and 2L, and the price of different wines also varies, so if you are visiting for the first time with friends, we recommend a tasting set of 6 popular wines, each 130ml glass, to get the most taste at one time.
In terms of food pairing, Taps offers pasta, Italian rice, burgers, German sausage platter, grilled chicken, and other Western dishes. In addition, TAPS strictly prohibits customers from bringing outside food into the restaurant, so please be aware that customers who wish to visit the restaurant are requested to be aware of it.
