Xi'an Baiyue Goat Milk Group Co., Ltd. was founded in 1985 and is currently the chairman unit of China Dairy Industry Association. Baiyue has five production bases, namely Baiyue Yanliang Production Base (Shaanxi), Baiyue Qianxian Production Base (Shaanxi), Baiyue Heshui Production Base (Gansu), Baiyue Nanning Production Base (Guangxi), Baiyue Domestic Products Production Base (Shaanxi). There are many brands of Baiyue, infant formula goat milk powder is mainly distributed under Baiyue and Baiyue Imperial Treasure, and Baiyue Puen, Baiyue 1985 and Imperial Treasure under Baiyue are all produced in Yanliang, the core production base of Baiyue, using the dry and wet composite production process. Baiyue Ancient Elephant, Baiyue Yibeibi and Baiyue New Beinengsu belong to Baiyue Ancient Elephant, a 100%-owned subsidiary of Baiyue Goat Milk Group, and are produced at Baiyue Heshui production base in Gansu.
Although Baiyue has four milk source bases in Shaanxi, Baiyue Puen and Baiyue 1985 both use sheep milk powder imported from overseas and come from Spain or New Zealand, and the specific milk source information cannot be traced. In April 2020, Baiyue's whole sheep milk powder imported from New Zealand was denied entry due to unqualified sensory testing. The indicators of sensory inspection include color, odor, tissue status and preparation, and the failure of sensory inspection reflects the shortcomings of milk powder suppliers in quality control to a certain extent.
Because it is added to desalted cow whey powder, even if the more scarce sheep milk powder is used, the price of Baiyue Puen and Baiyue 1985 is also very cheap, the price of 800g is about 300 yuan, of which Baiyue Puen is the most cost-effective, containing OPO structural fat, lactoferrin and lutein, and the formula has reached the level of high-end milk powder. In addition, Baiyue Puen also added DHA and ARA, which are lacking in Baiyue 1985, that is, the added amount is low, accounting for less than 0.1% of the total fatty acids, and other brands can reach more than 0.2%.
Royal Baoyue Belle Milk Source uses goat's milk from Baiyue's milk source base in Shaanxi, which can reach the factory within 1 hour after being squeezed, and the price is 800g 356 yuan. The ratio of whey protein and casein in the milk powder was also adjusted with bovine demineralized whey powder and bovine whey protein, and lutein and probiotics were additionally added. However, choline, prebiotics and other common selectivity are not added, choline plays an important role in the development of neonatal organs and the formation of cell membranes, and the International Codex Alimentarius (CODEX) lists it as an essential ingredient. Imperial Bell is not cost-effective and is not recommended for newborns who use milk powder as their entire food source.
The three series of Newbecansu, Yibebi and Guxiang are not produced in the core base of Yanliang, and the price is comparable to that of Baiyue Puen and 1985. Baiyue acquired 60% of the shares of Ulys Dairy in 14 years, and Ulys had goat milk brands such as Sheep 100 at that time, which have disappeared at present. Goat 100 in the first two years in the goat milk market to maintain a certain market share, but currently only has the qualification of milk powder suppliers, in the mall hanging sheep 100 number of milk powder sold, are from Xiangyang Lake enterprises, not recommended to buy.
