Hero only produces fountain pens, no other pen production experience, platinum just early to introduce Japan's advanced ballpoint pen, gel pen and whiteboard pen production technology, product quality far beyond domestic enterprises. At present, in addition to graphite pencils, the product line of platinum basically radiates to the entire writing instrument.
In terms of product quality and price, platinum belongs to the same echelon as Mitsubishi and Baile. The sub-brand of the high-end line "Nakaya Wannian Pen", like the high-end line of Baile, adopts a variety of Maki-e techniques, is handmade, and uses 18K gold tips, the price is expensive, the main fountain pen products, the same series of mechanical pencils are only attached to the distribution, and they are out of print.
The platinum mechanical pencil currently mainly promotes two series: PRO-USE and OLEeNU. The PROO-USE is positioned as a drawing mechanical pencil, while the OLEeNU series is a writing pencil, and the price difference between the two series is large. But Platinum sells fountain pens, ballpoint pens and gel pens mainly in China's official flagship stores, and mechanical pencils are completely invisible.
In addition to the configuration of ordinary drawing pencils, the PRO-USE series also adds a nib buffer device, which is relatively rare in other Japanese brands, the buffer device greatly improves the anti-lead performance, the price grade of different materials is different, and the price is slightly higher than that of brands such as Paitong and Baile, but it matches its value, the series of pencils made of resin materials are about 35 yuan, while metal pencils range from 70 to 100 yuan.
The OLEeNU series, which is used for writing, has a relatively small number of models, and the price is half that of the PRO-USE series. Compared with Baile's Moguliar and Zebra's Delguard, there is an additional double-layer structure nib design, the anti-lead performance is higher, and the pen grip is made of soft rubber, which is better than the above two brands, but the core movement uses plastic in order to reduce costs, and the lead transmission performance is poor, and the overall performance of the pencil is reduced.
