In terms of movement technology, its mechanical pencils are basically equipped with a metal lead removal mechanism, but there is still a lot of room for improvement in the resistance to lead breakage relying only on the retractable nib.

Mitsubishi's mechanical pencil has two major patents, lead core rotation and soft rubber patented technology. The core rotation technology is used in the KURU TOGA series, that is, at each writing stop, the internal gear mechanism drives the core to rotate by 9° or 18°, so that the core remains conical during the writing process, and the thickness of the writing handwriting remains the same. In addition to the limited model, the price of this series is 25-30 yuan, which is very cost-effective. KURU TOGA also has a drawing mechanical pencil, but the lead core diameter is only 0.5mm, and the applicability is not strong, except for the metal barrel, it is basically the same as other models of the same series.

The soft rubber patent is used in the α-gel series, a new high-performance material with a three-layer structure, the colloid is soft, which can absorb the pressure generated by the fingers when writing and relieve finger fatigue, but this soft rubber will become soft and dirty with the use of time, which will affect the grip of the pen. This series is generally equipped with a shake out of the lead, and the price is similar to that of the KURU TOGA series.

Both the KURU TOGA and α-gel are produced in Japan, and Mitsubishi also has some mechanical pencils from China, such as the SHIFT series for professional drawing, the Shalaku for elementary and junior high school students, and the CLiFTER series. The technical content of these products itself is not high, in order to save costs, the whole including the movement parts are made of plastic, the movement process and the ability to prevent lead breakage are not high, only in the grip and price advantages.
