How about HALTI Hardy Ski Wear brand introduction

Founded in 1976 as the name of Finland's highest peak, the eponymous brand started with tents and sleeping bags, and has gradually expanded its product line to include a variety of outdoor sports such as alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and backcountry hiking, and countless of the world's top athletes have proven the quality and reliability of Halti products in major competitions, including the Swedish X-COUNTRY Ski Team, the Finnish X-COUNTRY Ski Team and the International Ski Federation. In Europe, Halti has long been associated with professional sports equipment, and in 2018 it was voted Finland's most respected outdoor and sports brand.

The functional fabric used in Halti's ski suits is DrymaxX®, which is developed in-house, and is not the Gore-Tex preferred by most professional outdoor brands, so the waterproof principle is also different. The waterproof core of the Gore-Tex fabric relies on a microporous membrane with countless microporous membranes smaller than water droplets, which cannot be penetrated by external moisture. DrymaxX® fabric is not waterproof by its own characteristics, but is manufactured with seam lamination to prevent moisture from entering, and the waterproof performance is comparable to that of brands such as Bogner, Phenix and Arc'teryx, with a water resistance index of up to 20,000mm, which can also play a protective role in harsh environments such as heavy rain and snow.

Depending on the DrymaxX® fabric used, the waterproof and moisture permeability of Halti ski suits varies slightly, as does the corresponding thermal material. For example, the waterproof index of DrymaxX®Lite is only 3000mm, which can only withstand light to moderate rain, and the moisture permeability is only 3000g/㎡/24H, while the sweat generated by light exercise per hour for adults is converted into water vapor is about 500g (about 12000g in 24 hours). The interior is padded with Down Touch lightweight insulation, which is soft and comfortable with a down-like texture, but not as warm as it is suitable for downhill skiing, but rather as a winter light hiking jacket or for beginner skiers to practice on indoor slopes.

For this reason, DrymaxX®Lite fabric is often used in skiwear with DrymaxX®Ultimate, which is designed to operate in extreme conditions and environments, and is far more waterproof, breathable and durable than DrymaxX®Lite. DrymaxX®Ultimate is mostly used independently in alpine or cross-country ski wear, such as PODIUM DX ski jacket with a water resistance index of 20,000mm and a moisture permeability of 20,000g/㎡/24H, which is comparable to Bogner Sport and Phenix Norwegian Alpine Team ski wear series. The PrimaLoft®SilverEco filling is extremely soft and warm, lightweight and waterproof, making it a great choice for downhill skiers, and at around $510, it's more affordable than Bogner or Phenix.

If you don't participate in skiing frequently, you can consider the DrymaxX® All Weather series of ski wear, although the water and moisture permeability index is lower than the DrymaxX®Ultimate products, but it is enough to cope with moderate rain and snow, the biaxially stretch fabric can make the shoulders, elbows and knees and other parts of the flexible stretch, the new thermal insulation material Microtherm can also play a perfect role in the harsh and changeable weather conditions in the north, the price of about $300 is very cost-effective.

Halti has reached a cooperation agreement with Nanjing Biancheng Sporting Goods Co., Ltd., which owns the trademark rights and operation rights of the Halti brand in Greater China, and currently has offline physical stores in Shenyang and Beijing, as well as online purchase channels, so that domestic consumers can easily purchase Halti ski products. However, the styles sold in China are not synchronized with the foreign market, and the models sold in the domestic market are mainly DrymaxX® fabric ski clothes with medium protection performance, and lack of DrymaxX®Ultimate fabric ski clothes that are common in foreign markets, but the price is as high as 4500-5500 yuan.
