Founded in 1954, Katoji is a general baby products wholesaler located in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, and in the early 80s of the last century, Katoji began to realize the transformation from a wholesaler to a manufacturer, and is one of the earliest professional baby products companies in Japan to design and sell fashion. Katoji is very popular in Japan, and sales of Charmy and Tachibaido cribs have been high on Japanese e-commerce platforms. In addition to designing and selling its own branded products, Katoji also represents other world-renowned maternity and baby brands in Japan, such as Joie in the UK, Nuna in the Netherlands, and Peg-Perego in Italy.
 
The certification standards for cribs produced and sold in each country vary, for example, it is best to have JPMA certification for cribs in the United States, while cribs sold in Japan must be marked with the "PSC" and "SG" marks. There are two types of baby cots sold in Japan: standard size (120cm×70cm) and small size (90cm×60cm), and Katoji's cribs are also divided according to this size standard, mainly for children aged 0-2 years. The main material of the bed is New Zealand pine, but there are also beech wood raw materials from the local area. In terms of exterior style, the colors are mainly wood and white, and the simple Japanese style gives people a fresh and natural feeling.
 
Katoji's design concept is to create "baby products that make moms feel fun", and they are very thoughtful in terms of functional design. The crib board is generally 3 levels of height adjustment, which can be flexibly transformed into a play fence, and the height can be adjusted by pressing and holding the button at both ends of the side rail, which is convenient for mothers to take care of their babies. In addition, there is a high-leg design, the bed frame is higher than the floor, and the bed board can be adjusted in more gears, which can be better integrated with the adult bed. The B-side Snox is a crib that can be easily converted into a baby food station with the side rails and footboard. Katoji is very user-friendly in terms of other details and functions of the crib, in addition to being equipped with movable casters, there is also a storage area under the bed to store baby supplies.
 
Katoji's standard-size non-tall crib is about 13,000 yen (about 760 yuan), tall and mini are 20,000-23,000 yen (about 1,170-1,350 yuan), and the beech wooden crib is the highest, at 54,000 yen (about 3,170 yuan). Unfortunately, Katoji has temporarily opened its own stores or online official flagship stores in China, and consumers need to shop overseas on their own.
