How about PHILIPS Philips LED lights brand introduction

Philips, whose full name is the Royal Dutch Philips Group, started with the production of lighting bulbs and has been a leading position in the global lighting industry, and lighting has been Philips' main business for more than 120 years. From 2009 to 2014, Philips' lighting business revenue ranked first in the world for six consecutive years, and in the U.S. Consumer Reports (CR) evaluation, Philips ranked second in terms of the number of products on the list only one less than Osram.

Philips lighting and China has a deep origin, since the 80s of the last century has been active in the Chinese lighting market, "Jianghu status" is obvious to all, is recognized by the industry as the "first brand", especially in engineering, many customers have the first time to look for Philips brand consumption habits.

Similar to OSRAM, another giant in the lighting industry, until a few years ago, Philips was an enterprise that spanned the entire lighting industry chain, consisting of Lumileds in the upstream, Philips Lighting in the middle and lower reaches and its direct factories.

Among them, Lumileds was formerly known as HP's optoelectronic division, and was later acquired by Philips, focusing on the manufacture of high-power LED components and LED chips, the main products are automotive lights, large stadium searchlights, mobile phone flashes, etc., Apple iPhone6 uses Lumileds LED lights.

The share of general lighting in the entire LED industry is becoming larger and larger, in this field, low and medium power LED components account for a large part, and Lumileds' own low and medium power LED module production capacity is expected to account for less than 3% of the total demand, Philips has to bear high development costs, as the LED lighting industry profits are getting lower and lower, Lumileds has become a burden.

In order to further reduce costs, Philips spun off and cut the lighting business, sold 80.1% of Lumileds to Apollo in 2015, and closed the Shenzhen factory the following year, and handed over the production to Zhejiang Sunshine Lighting, and then integrated other businesses into Philips Lighting, which is now the world's largest lighting company after a separate IPO.

After the sale of Lumileds, Philips has become a lighting system and lighting fixture company that is biased towards the middle and lower reaches, but because it retains 19.9% of the shares of Lumileds, it still has a certain say in the upstream of the industrial chain, and the LED products on sale are still used by Philips' own LED chips.
