三益建立于1958年，最初以销售Baldwin钢琴为主，后来逐渐开始生产自主品牌的钢琴，并在1988年成为全球最大的钢琴出口厂商。在三益如日中天的时候，亚洲大范围金融海啸使三益在1996年宣告破产。三益在2002年从破产中恢复，被KoreaSpeco集团收购，然后在2003年初，三益又收购了德国钢琴名厂贝希斯坦60%的股份。在帮助贝希斯坦打开亚洲市场的同时，三益还将贝希斯坦的技术应用到印尼工厂的生产中。2008年收购了拥有160年制琴历史的德国品牌赛乐尔、2009年正式控股施坦威（STEINWAY&SONS）、2014年全面收购卡瓦依并成为其最大执行股东。现在三益除了Korea本土的工厂外，最大的工厂设在印度尼西亚，各种musical instrument的年产量总和达到15万，国内能买到的三益钢琴基本都是印尼产。
